Kayaking
On board canoes and kayaks, paddling in crystal clear water, you can set out to discover caves set in splendid cliffs and get to know the inhabitants of this stretch of the Mediterranean (it is quite common to come across dolphins and other cetaceans, sunfish, cormorants).
Snorkelling
Fossil beaches (beach-rock), natural and artificial reefs, eel grass: these underwater worlds can be explored thanks to snorkelling, SUP and surfing activities, to discover our extraordinary biodiversity and learn to love and respect the sea. With mask, snorkel and fins, accompanied by NADD biologists/instructors, or on a SUP or surf board, young and old will be able to experience and get to know our wonderful Ligurian Sea.
Sailing
The sail adapts to the changing winds which, characterised by constant conditions, make sailing possible year-round, with the chance to enjoy mini-cruises led by expert skippers. Among these we recommend daily excursions (or even half days) to the islands of Bergeggi and Gallinara, two-day excursions to Portofino and Santa Margherita and the crossing to Corsica.
Windsurfing & Kite-surfing
There are excellent conditions for these sports here as well, especially in the winter months when the Tramontana wind blows for weeks at a time. Thanks to the long beaches, the area has also been ideal for the evolution and spread of kite-surfing.
The beaches of Pietra Ligure and Finale Ligure are perfect for experienced surfers.
Wave surfing
The best periods to practice this sport are the autumn months and the first part of spring, with the wind from the south-east and south-west. Thanks to the arrival of perturbations and particular weather conditions, certain conditions are formed in some points of the coast that are prefect for wave surfing, with the best spots in Pietra Ligure, in Varigotti, in Baia dei Saraceni and in the Port of Finale Ligure.
